The vote was originally scheduled for May 6, and was item 9 of the agenda for this regular session of the Berkeley City Council that day:
- “9. Modification and Adoption of Berkeley Fire Code Local Amendments”
According to the Berkeley Fire Department, EMBER is the best chance our neighborhood has to survive the wildfire that will eventually come our way.
Do attend the meeting and speak to express your position, whatever it is. If you cannot attend, please email the city council (again!) at council@berkeleyca.gov
