HAASS+ is a prospective Firewise neighborhood building on the long-standing, neighbor-led HAASS network, which spans Upper Hill Road, Atlas, Ajax, Summit Road, and Summit Lane. The expanded area now includes homes on Lower Hill Road, Bay Tree Lane, and the east side of Grizzly Peak Boulevard between Shasta Road and Summit Road. HAASS+ falls within the newly designated Zone 4 under Berkeley’s EMBER ordinance (Effective Mitigations for Berkeley Ember Resilience), approved by the City Council on June 17, 2025.
