There are occasionally properties in a Firewise neighborhood that are not inhabited, or that are rented and where it is not possible to easily find contact information for the owner of the property.
The county has ownership information for each parcel. But the SF Chronicle has an easy look-up tool that searches county information for you and gives you easy access to these records by simply entering the address:
