BFD has put together an excellent 4-page-long Self-Inspection Checklist [PDF], to prepare for annual inspections, but that may be used more generally for wildfire prevention in general.
This self-inspection checklist gathers all major California State recommendations for wildfire prevention, and largely matches the IBHS recommendations as well. IBHS is an insurance institute that funded a large part of the fire research in the 1990s through 2010s that forms the basis for cutting edge wildfire prevention.
Interestingly, IBHS is also the source of a brand new certification process for California homes (and only CA so far), which some insurance companies are already referencing as the requirement for continued insurance policies.
