The City will pick up extra plant material with your weekly green bin if you pre-purchase their debris bags. Bags are priced at 5 for $15. A maximum of ten bags can be placed on the curb each week for pick up. They are most reliably available at the City’s Transfer station on 2nd Street.
Ace Hardware has also been cited as a source for bags, but they are often sold out. If you are purchasing bags from Ace, buy them only if there is the Berkeley logo on the bag, otherwise, your debris will be left on the curb.
The city asks that you only dispose of 10 debris bags per pickup.
