The clinic will be given at a more detailed level than the City of Berkeley’s evac clinics. The clinic will move fast with a packed agenda:
- Extreme Fire Weather—a new format from the weather service
- Conclusions of the 2025 Berkeley Evacuation Study
- Early information on new city evacuation process
- Two modes of evacuation
- How to prepare for evacuation
- The Go Bag
- Evacuation: how to give yourself the best odds to survive
- Evacuation: how to give your home the best odds to survive
- How to deal with EVs
Clinic time management—we will only take clarifying questions during the presentations. We will keep the clinic going past the end of the hour for anyone who wishes to remain: we will reply to every question.
Handouts—we will have an evacuation checklist and an evacuation plan worksheet.
There will be late breakout sessions, after Q&As, for:
- loading alerting apps on your phone
- completing your first evacuation plan
- discussing evacuation routing options
- selection of go-bag items
