The City of Berkeley’s fire map survey deadline is tomorrow (April 1st) at 5 pm. The City Council will consider these comments at the 2nd reading of Berkeley Fire’s EMBER proposal on April 15th.
All residents of proposed Zone 4, and all members of Firewise neighborhoods in the city, have a vested interest in the results of this survey. We all know how severe the situation of zone 4 i.s as well as much of Berkeley, with regards to wildfire danger.
It would be valuable for comments from Zone 4 residents be present in good numbers. Please take a minute or two tonight to post your comments.

Please provide your input today! It can be as brief as: “The city of Berkeley should extend these boundaries to take into account the poor evacuation network, the density of the housing, and the heavy existing vegetation.”
