# Surviving wildfire: what to do if you lose your home to wildfire

Linda Masterson lost her home to wildfire. She wrote a book about her experience: grief, but also the logistics of dealing with the loss of the previous house and the rebuilding of the new one.

The book comes recommended by BFD’s Firewise liaison, Chief Kevin Revilla, as a little dated but very valuable, and worth reading more than once.
